Root System Response and Yield of Irrigated Rice in Relation to Irrigation, Potassium and Nitrogen under Subtropical Conditions

Irrigation and fertilizer are two essential factors affecting rice root traits yield. In this respect, a pot experiment was performed at the boro (dry season irrigated) of 2021–2022 in Department Agronomy Bangladesh Agricultural University, Mymensingh, Bangladesh. The variety Binadhan-10 planted irrigation conditions, i.e., saturation (S) continuous flooding (CF); potassium (K) doses, e.g., 65 kg ha−1 (K65) 98 (K98); nitrogen (N) 140 (N140) 210 (N210). laid split plot design with eight treatments replicated thrice. findings confirmed significant variation irrigation, K N effects on number (RN), length (RL), volume (RV), leaf area index (LAI), total dry matter (TDM), yield attributes Considering interaction among N, S conditions K65 N140 showed best performance relation to parameters. At 80 DAT, highest RN (373.00), RL (1700.00 cm), RV (8.90 cm3 hill−1), LAI (4.94) TDM (25.83 g plant−1) obtained from combination. Grain (GY) traits, except porosity, positive association. (27.12 pot−1) under N140. Therefore, can be successfully cultivated conditions.
